2018 Goals and Resolutions!

Happy Sunday and welcome to another blog post! First of all, Happy New Year! I hope you ringed in your new year surrounded by loved ones and good food. I could have gone out and about but I chose to stay home this year and just relaxed. The new year is here so everyone is talking about their resolutions so I thought I would share with you my goals and resolutions for 2018! Plus if I write them down I have to go through with them…right? So let’s just get right into it, here are my 2018 goals and resolutions!

Work on my Mental Health!

This one will always be a goal and resolution in my life because I am always struggling every day with my mental health. I feel this past year I have become more open with my mental health and I know want to continue being open with it. I know there are going to be good mental days and bad mental days but I know I can get through it.

Be Less Stressful!

I feel like because I gave myself a number as a goal last year it made me more stressed. I wanted to make sure that I got to that goal and I let it really got to me and stressed me out. Now I also had a bunch of stuff in my personal life that has made things stressful and that was stuff I could only control to a point but this year was very stressful. So I don’t want the new year to be as stressful. I’m not saying to stop being stressed all together, stress is ok to a point, but this past year I was wayyy past the point of too much stress.

Grow my Blog!

This year was wonderful for my blog (if you haven’t read my recap of 2017 you should go check it out) and I can’t wait to see how it’s going to grow this year! I’m not giving myself a goal for it because I can’t control how my blog is going to grow or a number of how many blogs I want to write by the end of the year because of stress but I will do what I can to help it grow. I’m going to try to stick to my two blogs a week (maybe even more) and try more new things when it comes to blogs!

Create More Doodles!

As you know I opened up my Etsy shop this year and I can’t wait to make more collections! As I am writing this blog post I have already started working on new collections that I can’t wait to share with you guys! I can’t wait to see how much I grow as an artist this year!

Interact with You Guys!

As I was talking about in my recap I loved how much I was able to interact with you guys this past year and I can’t wait to interact with you more this year! I hope when I go to this blog post in 2019 I can think back on all the ways I was able to interact with you guys.

Say No More Often

Last year I wanted to work on saying yes to hanging out with my friends and this year I need to work on saying no. I have a tendency of never saying no when I’m asked to take a shift, stay longer at work or even hanging out or doing something when I’m not feeling well mentally. Because yes though I want to continue to hang out with my friends, I want to be able to hang out with them when I’m feeling 100%. I want to make good memories and I can’t do that when I’m not feeling fully myself.

Let Go

Things that happened in the past happened for a reason and though I have learned from them I need to learn in this new year to let them go. Stop hurting yourself by replaying and evaluating them over and over. Let go and look to today and the future.

Never Take Anything Personal

I am a sensitive person, and though that might be ok, don’t take things too personally and that people are trying to attack you personally. At work be more professional and know the difference to help you act correctly.

Eat/Be Healthier!

When people make New Year’s resolutions people are always saying how they’re going to be healthy and this is the year that they’re going to get fit, I have been one of those people. And every year that I say that it’s going to happen I really get into it for a few months and then something happens in my life and I stop. So this year I still want to be healthy but not make it take over my life. I am going, to be honest, I don’t really like working out. I dread going to the gym and feel bad after a workout but I do want to be better. I want to eat better than I have them and if I make it to the gym, I make it to the gym!
