Happy Tuesday/Wednesday and welcome to another blog post! I’ve wanted to do this blog post for a long time and finally thought I would do it, so today I am going to be doing the Harry Potter Tag! I pulled some of my favorite questions from the “Ultimate Harry Potter Tag” as well as added some questions of my own to make my own tag! So let’s just get right into it, here is my Harry Potter Tag!
**Spoiler Warning: For anyone who hasn’t seen or read the Harry Potter Series, there are spoilers so if you don’t want to be spoiled, I wouldn’t read this post.**
1. Favorite Book?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I love how throughout the series you fall in love with the characters and root for them and in the last book, everything comes all together.
2. Favorite Movie?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Not only do you get introduced to some of my favorite characters, but does anyone else think of the moment when Hermione punched Draco? I always laugh at that moment.
3. Favorite Quote?
“We’ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the pat we act on, that’s who we really are.” -Sirius Black
4. Favorite Weasley?
Molly Weasley. Her love towards her family and how she accepts Harry into the Weasley family warms my heart so much. Also…
5. Favorite Professor?
This was a hard one so since I can’t decide I have two answers…
The first is Severus Snape. The commitment he made to Dumbledore and even more Lily Potter is amazing. I had so much of a love/hate relationship with Snape when I first read the series, but it all came together in the end and I realized how good he actually is. Also, I cried when he died both in the books and in the movie. I even saw Deathly Hallows part 2 three times in theatres and cried each and every time.
The second is Minerva McGonagall. She really does care about her students and Hogwarts. Plus she is such a badass! Also, the part in Deathly Hallows part 2 when she gets to use a spell she’s always wanted to use and tells Molly Weasley makes me smile because it shows the young with the inside of her and it is absolutely adorable.
6. Favorite Female Character?
Get used to two answers for each question cause I can’t make up my mind :).
The second would be the one and only Nymphadora Tonks aka Tonks. Not only is she a fellow Hufflepuff but I remember when I was first introduced to her character I couldn’t help but think that she was such a badass. I love how bold and brave she is, as well as her relationship with her husband Remus. I would love to cosplay her one day.
7. Favorite Villain?
Does Draco Malfoy count for this question…because he counts in my book? If he does or doesn’t in your book, I don’t believe Draco is a bad person or evil. He bullied Harry and his friends in the first books but when it came to the major things (like becoming a death eater) he’s really just a misunderstood kid/teenager trying to make his parents happy.
8. Favorite Male Character?
The first is Neville Longbottom. You see Neville in this series grow and act bravely in many occasions. Plus he’s so funny and an all-around good guy.
The second would be Sirius Black. He is such a good father figure to Harry and so loyal to his friends. I did shed a tear or two when he died.
9. Is there a movie you referred to the book?
No. There were things in the books that I loved that the movies left out. I will always prefer books than the movies though it is awesome seeing books come to life.
10. Your top thing that wasn’t in the movies that you wanted there the most?
The part in Deathly Hallows was Dudley tells Harry he isn’t a big waste of space. That is such a big moment between Harry’s and Dudley’s relationship because we’ve just seen Dudley bullying Harry growing up. If you have never read the books you will never see the growth in Dudley and their relationship. You will just see Dudley as Harry’s cousin who bullied him.
11. Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be apart of?
I always knew I was a Hufflepuff. I connect with a lot of Hufflepuffs and knew I was meant to be Team Hufflepuff.
12. Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore?
If you haven’t read my sorting Hat Experience you should check it out. If you would like, the link is here:
13. Which class would be your favorite?
As much as I would love to learn spells and potions but honestly I would love flying. I’m not the biggest fan of flying in an airplane so it would be so convenient for me to learn how to fly. Plus I get to save gas on my car cause I’ll just fly everywhere.
14. Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
I was just literally telling my roommate how I always sit down get comfortable and then realize I forgot something. So Accio would solve all of my problems.
15. Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?
Neville Longbottom definitely. We would bond on both of us being awkward and would have long conversations about things we both nerd out about.
16. If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?
The Invisibility cloak. I would love to sneak into the restricted area of the library.
17. If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be?
WHY IS THIS QUESTION SO HARD?! As much as I love Sirius, Tonks and even Severus I would have to choose Fred Weasley. I really do feel that Fred and George are the same people, more than just twins, and without Fred, George is never the same.
18. Hallows or Horcruxes?
Hallows because why become immortal when I can become the Master of Death?
19. The moment in the series that made you smile?
I have so many moments whether it’s in the books or movies and maybe I’ll make a blog post around it but the moment that comes to mind is the scene in the movie Deathly Hallows part 2 when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are running in the midst of the Battles of Hogwarts. A weird moment I know but I remember watching this movie in theatres for the first time and I was so touched. This scene having so many great moments together as well as “Courtyard Apocalypse” (can we take a moment to talk about how amazing the music is in this movie?!) playing gives me chills down my body. During this moment, you find yourself thinking about how far these characters have gone and where they are going. Some may think of this moment as a filler, but it does and always will make me smile… and get a little teary-eyed.
If you don’t know what moment I am talking about, here is a link:
20. What does the Harry Potter Series mean to you?
Not only do I love this series because of the characters, the story and the aspect of magic but this series brought my family together. I grew up with the Harry Potter movies coming out and my family would always see them together in theaters. It kind of became a Stark tradition because the movies with a few exceptions came out every year or every 2 years around Thanksgiving so as apart of the holiday celebration we would see it together. I also love this series because I really do feel like Hogwarts will always be a home to me and a lot of people out there. J.K. Rowling did an amazing job with the world of Harry Potter and I can’t wait to pass this love to future generations.
So that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did putting it together! Let me know in the comments below some of your answers to these questions, what house you are in as well as ideas for blog post ideas. Harry Potter or non-Harry Potter, I am always up to new ideas!
If you haven’t read yesterday’s post, I extended the deadline for my doodles.by.fans because of a mistake I made and realized, so if you are interested in participating that head on over to that post to read the details.
