Hello and welcome to another blog post! First of all, I would like to say I know it’s been a while since I have done a blog post but I am back and super excited for this little series and especially this one blog post. If you have been following me for a while or any of my social media you know that I have an Etsy store where I make my own stickers. Recently I came out with a new Harry Potter Collection and ever since it came out with it I became super inspired by the world of Harry Potter. So I thought it would be a fun idea to do combine my love for makeup and Harry Potter and bring you some Harry Potter House Inspired Makeup Tutorials! Of course, since I am a Hufflepuff I’m starting off with Hufflepuff so if you are interested to see how I did this Hufflepuff Inspired Makeup Tutorial just keep on reading!
1. Base and Brows are Done
The base up to where I would start eyeshadow is already done so my moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, powder, brows, and eyeshadow base is already on. Here is a list of products I used:
Moisturizer: Belif The True Cream- Moisturizing Bomb
Primer: Too Faced Hangover X Primer
Foundation: Maybelline 24 hour Foundation in 120 (Classic Ivory)
Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape in Light (also used to prime my eyes)
Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
Bronzer: Anastasia Beverly Hills in Tawny
Eyebrows: Kat Von D 24-hour Super Brow in Light Brown and Benefit Gimmie Brow in Shade 3
2. Setting the Base
Using the Morphe 35B Palette, I am setting the concealer on my eyes with the white shade all over my lid. Having a white base will help the color pop more. I am using the M433 Brush from Morphe.
3. Star of the Show
The main color of this look is this bright yellow color from the 35B Palette. Using the same M433 brush I am taking that color and blending it all over my crease going pretty high, almost to my brow bone.
4. Cut the Crease
Using the Tarte Shape Tape, I am cutting the crease. I have really been hating the brush I have been using to cut my crease but I have a new and better one coming soon!
5. Add Shimmer to the Inner Lid
Grabbing my Jaclyn Hill Palette, I am going into the color Beam and patting that color on my inner part of my lid with my finger.
6. Add Yellow on the Outer Lid
Grabbing my M441 brush I am going back into the main yellow color and placing it on my outer part of my lid.
7. Create the Gradient
To blend the colors together I am patting a little bit of the yellow shimmer color from the 35B Palette in the middle of the lid to create a gradient from the shimmer white to the matte yellow.
8. Line the Top Lid
Using your favorite eyeliner, line your top lid and create a wing. I am using the NYX Epic Ink Liner in Black.
9. Line the Crease
I felt the need to add a little glitter to this look so using the NYX Glitter Liner in Crystal Silk I am lining the crease to make it pop. Take your time with this step to get a crisp line.
This is the upper lid complete without lashes.
10. Tightline the Upper Water Line and Apply Lashes
I am using a Black liner from NYX and my favorite lashes from Eylure in Bronze Beauty.
11. Add Color to Bottom Lash Line
Going back in the yellow color, I am applying it to my lower lash line and smoking it out.
12. Apply Mascara
Add mascara to blend natural lashes to falsies and bottom lashes as well. I am using my favorite mascara which is Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara in Black.
The eyes are now complete! Let’s finish the face!
13. Add Blush
Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio in Peachy Love I am mixing the two more pink shades and applying them to the temples of my cheeks.
14. Highlight Eyes, and the High Points of Face
Using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter I am highlighting the inner teardrop, my brow bone, and all the high points of my face.
15. Add a Lip Color
For lips, I am using a Smashbox Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out.
16. Set and Done!
Set your face using the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, fix your hair and you are Hufflepuff complete!
And this is the completed look!
