Slytherin Inspired Makeup Tutorial!! // Harry Potter Series Part 2

Hello and welcome to another blog post! Today I am excited to share part 2 of my 4 part Harry Potter House Inspired Makeup Series! Since I do have some traits I thought that today I would be inspired by House Slytherin! So for all the Slytherins out there this one is for you! If you would like to see how I created a Slytherin inspired makeup tutorial keep on reading!

1. Prep

To start things off I already moisturized my face with Belif the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb and have my eyebrows done, which is the Kat Von D 24-Hour Super Brow in Light Brown and my eyelids primed with my Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light. I am not setting my eyelids either. Now let’s get into the eye look!

2. Pack On the Black

Going into the Morphe 35B Palette I am packing on the black color. This color is awesome that it is pigmented so I don’t need to use a eyeliner under it as a base.

3. Blend the Edges

Using a fluffy dense brush, blend the edges out of the black eyeshadow.

4. Start the Crease

Going in the 35B Palette I am taking this dark green color and blending it in my crease.

5. Continuing with the Crease

Then using a brighter green color I am blending this color over the dark green color.

I’ve mentioned in a blog post before but doing a colorful or any makeup look is easy with this Color Switch by Vera Mona that I found at Sephora because it makes it easy to switch from color to color without having to worry about having the color mix in with the new color. If you are someone who doesn’t have a lot of brushes but want to be able to create looks with lots of different colors, this product is great at an affordable price.

6. Add More Black

Going back into the 35B Palette I am going back in the black color to add more depth to it.

7. Add Glitter Primer

Now we can get into the fun part! I am going in with the NYX Glitter Primer and a small brush I am adding it to where I would normally put eyeliner.

8. Add Glitter

Then going into this NYX Glitter Brilliants in Silver and the same brush i am patting glitter where I put the glitter primer.

This is what the top of the eye looks like. Now to move on to the face!

9. Prime the Face

I am priming my face with the Too Faced Hangover X Primer.

10. Add Foundation

For my foundation I am using the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir in shade 710 which is Classic Ivory and applying it with a beauty blender.

11. Add Concealer

For concealer I am using the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in shade Light.

12. Setting My Face

Then I am setting my face with the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder with a beauty blender.

13. Add Bronzer

To Bronze my face I am using the new Morphe Brontour Bronzer in Frenemy and placing it where I would normally bronze my face.

14. Add Eyeliner

Going back to my eyes I am using a NYX black liner to tightline and line my waterline.

15. Smoking out the Waterline

Going back into the 35B Palette I am taking both the dark and light green shades and blending it out on my waterline to smoke the eyeliner out.

16. Add Mascara and Lashes

For Lashes I am using my current favorite pair which you know is the Eylure Vegas Nay Lux Collection in the style Bronze Beauty. For my upper lashes I am using Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara in Black and my lower lashes I am using Benefits Roller Lash in Black.

17. Add Blush

For blush I am using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio in Peachy Love in the Color Nectarine (the middle color) and applying it to my cheeks.

18. Add Highlighter

For highlighter, I am going into the Morphe X Bretman Rock Babe in Paradise Highlighter in shade BehBeh Gurl and adding that to my teardrop, brow bone and the high points of my face.

19. Add Lipstick

And finally, for lips, I am using the Jeffree Star Liquid Velour Lipstick in Androgyny.

20. Finishing Touches

Set your face with your favorite spray, I am using Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, fix that hair and you are done!

And that is it! I hope you liked this as much as I did putting it together! I’ve been having so much fun with these tutorials and I hope it shows in these tutorials!
