Hello and welcome to another blog post! Today I am excited to share Part 3 of my Harry Potter/ Hogwarts House Inspired Makeup Tutorial Series! For this time around I was inspired by House Gryffindor so this one is for the Gryffindors! That being said let’s just jump right into it, here is my Gryffindor Inspired Makeup Tutorial!
1. Brows and Base Done!
Hello this is my face! I already have my brows done which I have been using my favorite brow product as of recently and that is the Kat Von D 24 hour Super Brow in Light Brown and then I am using a product I just got recently for my eye primer and that is the P.Louise Eye base in Rumour 01.
2. Put Tape on the Edges of Eyes
With this look I want it to look sharp so I am applying pieces of tape on the edges of my eyes to catch any fallout so I can have a sharp crisp line. Before applying I patted the stickiness off the tape so it doesn’t pull my skin.
3. Starting with Color
Now that I look absolutely marvelous with the tape on my face I am going into the Morphe 35B Palette and packing on the red in my crease.
4. Add Yellow on Corners
Then I am going with the same yellow I used on my Hufflepuff Tutorial and blending it in on the corner with the red.
5. Cut the Crease
To cut my crease I am using the P. Louise Eye Base in Rumour 01 and cutting my full lid.
6. Color on Lid
Going back with the same red from the 35B Palette I am packing that color all over the lid where I put the base.
7. Glitter Fun!
Now for the fun part! I am using the NYX Glitter Primer and a small brush to apply the primer all over the lid on top of the red color….
…and using the NYX Glitter Brilliants in Red and applying to where I put the primer.
8. Touch Up
I felt like I needed a little more red and yellow in the crease so I just took a small brush and touched up the crease.
9. Peel off the Tape!
Now it’s time for the reveal! It is so satisfying taking the tape off and seeing that sharp edge.
10. Base and Lashes
I then did most of my base and added lashes. I’ve already said what I use for the base a few times so if you want to see what I used you can look back on Hufflepuff or Slytherin Tutorial.
Grab your favorite black eyeliner and tightline your top and add eyeliner to your bottom waterline. Mine is from NYX.
12. Smoke out Eyeliner
Using the same red, I am using that color to smoke out the eyeliner.
13. Add Yellow
I wanted to match the top crease so I am going in with the yellow color and smoking it out on the bottom corner opposite of the yellow on the crease.
14. Add Chrome to Inner Corner
Taking my Tarte Chrome Paint in Pot of Gold I am spraying my brush with Fix + and applying it to my inner corner.
15. Add Mascara
Apply mascara to your top and lower lashes. I am using Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara.
16. Add Blush
Add Blush I am using a mix of Nectarine and Ginger from the Blush Trio from Anastasia Beverly Hills.
17. Add Highlighter
Add Highlighter to the high points of the face as well as the brow bone. I am using my favorite Highlighter which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills X Amrezy Highlighter. Not only is it a gorgeous highlighter but the color is perfect for Gryffindor!
18. Add Lipgloss
Since there was so much going on with the eyes, I wanted to play it safe with the lips so I am using the Colourpop X Kathleen Lights Lip Gloss in Moon Child. When I was first messing around with this look I put a red and it looked pretty awesome so if you wanted to be even more bold a good red lip would go great with this look.
19. Setting Spray and Done!
Spray on some setting spray and you are done with this look!
And that is my Gryffindor Inspired Makeup Tutorial! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did putting it together! Can you believe we only have one more look before the series is done! I’ve had so much fun creating these looks and I can’t wait to show you the last one, which if you haven’t guessed already it’s Ravenclaw!! Let me know what you think down in the comments below as well as ideas for new blog posts, you know I am always up to new ideas! I hope you all have a wonderful day and I will see you in my next post!
