Autumn Makeup Tutorial// Profusion Beauty Treasure Box Thoughts!

Happy Sunday/Monday and welcome to another blog post! Halloween is sadly over and even though some people are moving right into Winter and Christmas, I am still holding on to Autumn. I love the Morphe 3502 palette, the colors just scream Autumn with the beautiful browns oranges and reds. I would buy this palette right away but I am such a beginner when it comes to eye makeup other than eyeliner. I have big eyes and I also wear big glasses so I feel like a lot of attention goes straight to my eyes. If I would use color on my eyes and it wasn’t blended enough or it just straight up looks bad, I feel like the mistakes would be more noticeable. That being said I don’t want to waste the beautiful palette colors on my beginners’ skills. I told myself that once I get really good at eye makeup and started to wear more eyeshadow I would get the Morphe 3502 palette but until then I would get a cheaper one until my skills are better.

Recently my mom and I were at Target and with the holidays coming Target was selling a brand called Profusion cosmetics. There was a range of different products to choose from highlight and contour palettes to lip kits all at a really good price. The one that caught my eye out of all of them was the Beauty Treasure Box. According to the Profusion website, the Beauty Treasure box is a deluxe beauty box that includes ultra-blendable eyeshadows, blush, contour and highlight shades to enhance and define your features. The pigments are supposed to sit comfortably on the skin while giving you a natural finish. The Beauty Treasure Box a 40 piece makeup kit with 35 eyeshadow colors, 1 highlighter, 2 blush shades, 1 contour shade, a black eyeliner pencil and a Pro Series brush. If I am honest, the reason why I was so drawn to this palette is that it reminds me of the Morphe 3502. The palette at Target was retailed for $12.99 while the Morphe 3502 is $23.00 so even though the Morphe palette is still pretty affordable, the Profusion is a great first palette for beginners.

After all, that being said I originally thought that I was just going to go on here and do a review over the palette but why would I go through the reason for getting this palette and not do an Autumn makeup tutorial since I’m still not over Autumn and then my thoughts at the end! This is my first makeup tutorial on top of being a beginner at eye makeup so please please please be kind to me if the eyeshadows aren’t blended in as well as they could have been. Right as I was going to take photos of this tutorial, my camera battery died so these photos are taken from my phone since I already showered and did my hair. So finally after this long introduction, I bring to you my Autumn Makeup Look using the Profusion Beauty Treasure Box!

Hello my naked face! My hair is already styled and I already primed it with the Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer that I forgot to take a photo of. Can you tell this is my first time because I don’t know what I am doing, but I am ready to start this tutorial!

Step 1: Foundation

The first step is to clip these crazy bangs back and then I am using my favorite foundation right now which is the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in shade 190 with the Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush 110 that I didn’t get a picture of.

Step 2: Concealer

I normally don’t use concealer but today my eye bags were crazy so I used my NYX concealer under my eyes.

Step 3: Contour

Getting into the Profusion Beauty Treasure Box I am going into the Contour color that is called Shade Contour and contouring my cheekbones, temples (I don’t know why with my bangs) and under my chin.

Step 4: Eyebrows Part 1

Then since I am moving everywhere with my makeup (I always do my makeup out of a normal order) I am starting my brows. For the arch and the tail of my brow, I am using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Soft Brown and a small angled brush.

Step 5: Eyebrows Part 2

And now that my brows look weird without the start of the brows filled in I am finishing them off with the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil in Shade 3.

Now it is time to get into the Eyeshadows!

Step 6: Eyeshadow Part 1

I am using three colors. The first color is called Rust which is a dark matte red-orange color and I am putting that on the outer corner of the lid as well as blending it into the crease.

Step 7: Eyeshadow Part 2

For the second color, I am using Adventurous which is a warm matte tan color and putting that on my inner lid.

Step 8: Eyeshadow Part 3

For the third color, I am using Pharaoh which is this beautiful shimmery gold color and putting that on the middle of my lid.

Step 9: Eyeliner

Once all three colors are on, I am lining my eye with my favorite liquid eyeliner the NYX Epic Ink Liner in Black and adding a wing at the end.

Step 10: Tightlining

Next Tightline the top water line using the Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in Black Lace. Can you tell how excited I am to tightline my eyes?

Step 11: Bottom Eyeliner

To eyeline my bottom waterline I am using the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cashmere which is a shimmery champagne color.

Step 12: Mascara

The final step for eyes is to use mascara. Since I have such a crazy obsession with mascara I am using 2 coats of my 2 favorite mascaras, Benefit’s Roller Lash Curling and Lifting Mascara and Maybelline’s Volum’ Express The Rocket Mascara.

Step 13: Blush

For blush, I went back into the Beauty Treasure box and used the shade Playful out of the two blush options and applied that to my cheeks. I chose the color Playful because I was in love with more deeper coral color than the bright pink.

Step 14: Highlight

I know there is a highlighter in the Treasure box but I really wanted to use my favorite highlighter for this look. That highlighter is of course Peach from the Opal Highlighting palette from Limecrime. I use this highlighter every day which you can tell because I am hitting pan with just this one color. If you are curious about this palette I did a review on this palette a while back, I will link it at the end of this post.

Step 15: Lips

To finish off this Autumn makeup look I am going in with my favorite Fall Lipstick from Limecrime and that is in the shade Bloodmoon. Bloodmoon is the deepest blood red in the Velvetine line and it the perfect dark shade for Autumn!

Finished Look!

After putting your lips on, unclip those crazy bangs and the look is complete!

Now that the Autumn look is complete, I did wear this makeup look for the rest of the day so I do have some thoughts on the products that came from the Profusion Beauty Treasure Box.

Small Pods

Before even talking about the wear of the makeup let’s talk about the package itself. Now I know in this particular palette you are getting 40 pieces of product but I wish in this palette and I noticed in the other palettes that the pods were smaller. This just could be my personal opinion, but I wish they were bigger so you can get more product!

Plastic Cover

Some makeup brands instead of just a clear sheet have plastic covers to cover the makeup so it doesn’t break in the package but two things about this plastic cover annoyed me. First of all, while opening the package it was taped on the sides so in the process of getting it off I accidentally stabbed one of the eyeshadow colors leaving a dent in it. The second thing that annoyed me is that I would normally throw the plastic cover away after removing it but the names of each shade are on the plastic cover so I have to keep it if I want to know the names of the colors.

The Brush Inside

I didn’t use the eyeliner pencil in the kit but I did use the brush to put on the middle color on my lid. I also used the brush to blend in the colors. My verdict on the brush is that I liked it! It picked up a lot of colors as well as blended them as well nicely.

The Formula and Wear

And now it is finally time to talk about the formula and the wear. I am happy to say that the colors and the contour color are pigmented but also very blendable. It didn’t irritate my skin at all for the rest of the day but by the end of the day the pigment lost its color and you can start to see creases in the color. So sadly it isn’t a long-lasting wear but if you are only wearing it for a few hours it is perfect.

Is it Worth it?

So my final verdict of the Profusion Beauty Treasure Box? I would say that is perfect for beginners. The colors are very pigmented but also blendable which makes it easy to practice and sharpens your skill. Though I am sad about some of the packaging and how it isn’t for a long-lasting wear, the palette was only $12.99 so I can’t argue with that.

So that’s it! Wow, that was a long one! I hope you enjoyed this blog post. I’m trying to open myself up to more blog post opportunities to be more creative and now that I’ve done one, I’m excited to try more in the future! Let me know in the comments below what you think as well as other blog posts ideas, I am always up for new ideas! Until then I hope you are enjoying what is left of Autumn unless you are already getting ready for winter and Christmas and I will see you in the next post!

My Current Favorites!

Happy Sunday/Monday and welcome to another blog post! I’ve always been a fan of monthly favorites and even though I would love to be able to go to get new makeup every month to generate enough new favorites every month my bank account would be non existing so I can’t do that. But in these past couple of months I have found some makeup items that I’ve really loved and with Halloween over sadly I thought now would be the best time to share with you some of my Current Makeup Favorites! Almost all of these products I got at Sephora with the exception of two items and will be linked at the end of the post if you are interested in these items. That being said let’s just jump right into it! Here are My Current Makeup Favorites!

Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer

The first product is the first of a few that is out of my comfort zone. If I’m being honest with you guys until these past few months I have been a really lazy with makeup. I always just used the basics like foundation, eyeliner, etc, last summer I just started getting into contouring, bronzer, and highlighting but I never used the “extra” things in my mind like primer or a setting spray because I thought it wasn’t needed. I was at Sephora with my best friend and she got this primer and I was automatically interested in it and asked her how she felt about it. She ended up loving it and because I always trust her opinion on makeup the next time we were at Sephora I picked it up. I was a little skeptical about it and it took me a bit to get into it but it has slowly became one of my favorites. No Poreblem Primer is a silky soft to the skin primer that blurs the look of pores while enhancing the wear of makeup. It works for all skin types and prepares your skin for a flawless foundation look. After using this product I can see why primers is not just an “extra” step in my makeup routine.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in shade 190

Speaking of foundation, my next product is the one and only Fenty Beauty Foundation in shade 190. For how much I love makeup I had no idea Rhianna was coming out with a makeup line until we just so happened to walk into Sephora the day of the line release. I wasn’t even going to get anything from the line, I went to Sephora to repurchase a product mentioned later on in this blog post and was so impressed with the beautiful packaging I couldn’t help but try a product from the line. Even though I was nervous to try it I got the foundation and the next day when I tried it, I fell in love. I wanted to do a review on this foundation but there are so many reviews on Youtube, I feel like you would just hear the same things over if I did one. But I didn’t want to miss the chance to put it in a favorites video because I generally like this product. I was surprised that I got the right color to match my skin tone because when we were at Sephora I remember the worker was saying how the pigment doesn’t show until after it dries, so I’m glad it didn’t take me forever to find a match. The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is a soft matte, long-wear foundation with buildable, medium-to-full coverage. I’m not the biggest fan of Rhianna but I am very impressed with her line and can’t wait to try more of her products.

Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush 110

So when we were at Sephora I was debating on also getting the foundation brush but since I was already getting one thing that I didn’t come for I didn’t want to spend more money. But after watching so many Youtube reviews raving on how much they loved the foundation brush I had to pick it up. And it is safe to say that they were all right. The Full-Bodied Foundation Brush 110 is a medium-density liquid foundation brush designed to give seamless, air-touched, medium to full coverage look. This brush helps you build your foundation from a medium to a full coverage look. I’m really glad I caved in and got these two products because this changes the game in foundation for me. Also before you say anything I know that I should have cleaned this brush for this blog post but I had no time. If you want to see what the makeup brush looks like clean, you can look at the link for this product.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Soft Brown

So ever since I found out that you can put makeup in your eyebrows I’ve been trying to find the perfect products for my brows. We all know I love Benefit’s brow line. I was talking to one of my friends and she has never used the Benefit brow line before and has used the Dipbrow Pomade and she lived for it so I told her that I would try the Dipbrow Pomade if she tried out any product from the Benefit brow line. So I tried it and I loved it. I love how it makes my brows look filled in no time. A little goes a long way too. I also love the combination of using the Benefit goof proof pencil on my inner brow and then blending it into the pomade to make it look more natural. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is a smudge-free, waterproof formula that glides on the skin and hair smoothly to creates a clean and defined brows. It provides color, sculpture and shading which helps create my perfect brow. Side Note, if you are debating between colors, go for the lighter color because even though the color may look like, the product is pretty dark.

NYX Epic Ink Liner

This next product is not from Sephora but from Target and it is the NYX Epic Ink Liner. Recently I haven’t been really loving the Kat Von D Tattoo liner because it isn’t as long lasting for me as it used to be. In the beginning of the day when I first put it on it looks great but by the end of the day the darkness dies down and smudges easily. My eyes also easily get really watery so I always end up accidentally smudging my eyeliner. So I was on the quest to find a new eyeliner and of course the first person I go to with help with makeup is my best friend who I always go to Sephora with. She said that she’s been recently loving this eyeliner and that I should try it out so when I went to Target I picked it up. I have to say I love this eyeliner. It is the darkest black and it makes making a line and a wing so easy. It is also waterproof so when my eyes get watery I don’t smudge my dark eyeliner. The NYX Epic Ink Liner is a slender brush tip that is intensely pigmented, waterproof pen that lets you achieve black liquid lines effortlessly. Plus NYX is really affordable so that is a nice plus to it as well!

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof in Black Lace

So recently I have once again opened up my world in makeup and is now trying to tightline my eyes. On top of my eyeliner smudging sometimes I would look into the mirror and see a line of skin peeking out between my eyeliner and lashes. And I thought that maybe tightlining would help solve that problem so here we are. I didn’t know what type of eyeliner to try and I was watching Jade the Libra on Youtube talking about this eyeliner so I thought I would try it out. And though I am still trying to get the hang of tightlining I can say that this product solved my problem! I also really like when I finish tightlining my upper lash line and blink it doesn’t rub on my bottom waterline. The Contour Eye Pencil is a silky formula that is resistant to water, heat, humidity and ensures up to 12 hours of smudge-less wear.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

On my last Sephora Haul I showed you that I got this product after my friend recommended it to me and I am back on here saying that I have liked it and that it has become a part of my daily makeup routine. It did take a little bit to get used to spraying something on my face but now that I’ve gotten used to it now. With the combination of my Fenty Beauty Foundation, the Foundation Brush 110 and this setting spray I can say that my makeup stays matte all day long. The All Nighter Setting spray is a weightless spray that keeps makeup looking just-applied for up to 16 hours. I got a mini version but now I think I may get the full sized next time I’m at Sephora.

Kat Von D Saint Eau de Parfum

The next product is a product that I didn’t think I would love. I don’t really wear perfume, I normally go towards body mists because I love apple smelling things (especially during the fall and springtime) but once again walking through Sephora I was just casually looking at perfumes and fell in love with this perfume. The Saint Perfume is a floral type of perfume that has vanilla, musk and Jasmine keynotes. I don’t want to spend 54 dollars on the full bottle so I’ve gotten the 22 dollar travel size and I’ve already been through two travel size perfumes. Well Kat, since you’ve been through 2 of the travel size bottles why don’t you just bite the bullet and buy the full size? Well… something about spending over 50 dollars on one item I can’t justify with myself, especially a perfume, but maybe give me a few more travel size bottles and I will, or a good sale on it.

Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner

These next two products is yet another unexpected purchase from walking around Sephora. I saw this product and picked it up because I saw the girl in the picture have brown curly hair with bangs like me and was automatically drawn to it. I smelled the shampoo and fell in love with the smell of grapefruit. I wanted this product but didn’t want to spend 25 dollars for each bottle in case I ended up not liking it so I got the mini size and a week later I had to go back to buy the full sizes. The No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner is a lightweight that detangles and fights frizz. It weightlessly blocks humidity, smooths hair texture while leaving your hair feeling moisturized. Since loving this product I am intrigued with the other products for the No Frizz line.

Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment

This product is an old favorite but I haven’t talked about on my blog. The Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment is perfect for troublesome blemishes. The formula contains benzoyl peroxide that attacks blemishes without causing irritation, over-drying and redness. I put it on once in the morning and before going to bed (maybe a third if it’s a big pimple) and in the matter of a few days the pimple is gone especially before it breaks through the skin.

XOXO Makeup Bag by Magg’s London

A couple of blog posts ago I talked about my favorite Youtube Channels and I mentioned the inspiring Hannah Maggs. I’ve always loved makeup bags and wanting to support her and her family but none of the makeup bags called my name until the XOXO Makeup Bag. The XOXO Makeup Bag is a pinky/nude plether material with a rose gold zipper and logo in the middle which is pretty much my aesthetic. The day it arrived in my mailbox I was jumping for joy knowing that I could support one of my favorite Youtubers. Another thing I love about this makeup bag is that it this makeup bag is a pretty good size. I actually don’t use the makeup bag for makeup because I am very messy when it comes to makeup and I don’t want to ruin it but if I were to put makeup in it, I would be able to fit pretty much all of my makeup in it. Looking at the website now I just read that this is one of the smaller makeup bags, so you just have to picture how much you can fit in the others!

So that’s all the items! It was a pretty long one so thanks for sticking with me! I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoyed putting this all together. I’ve been looking forward to doing this blog post for a while and I’m glad that I could finally share with you some of my current favorites! If you are interested in any of these products, there are links at the end! What are some products you’ve been loving these past few months? Let me know in the comments below as well as other ideas for blog posts. I’m always up to new ideas! Hope you are all having a great start to the week and I will see you in the next blog post!

Mini Sephora Haul!

Happy Sunday/Monday and welcome to another blog post! This past week one of my bestest friends and I went to Sephora and I thought since I haven’t done a makeup post in awhile I would show you guys what I got! Most of the stuff I needed but there are some that I didn’t expect to get, so let’s just get right into it! I bring to you my Mini Sephora Haul!

Benefit’s Roller Lash Mascara

One of the things I knew I had to grab is one of my favorite mascaras from Benefit! I had a little mini version of it but I loved it so much I needed to grab a full size! I love this mascara because it keeps my lashes curled and full all day! I’ve never been a fan of eyelash curlers so having a mascara that curls my lashes is perfect!

Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil

If you have been following my blog since the beginning you know that Benefit is my favorite high end makeup brand. Last summer Benefit came up with a new and improved line of brow products that made people think differently about brow makeup. When the products came out I made sure to get my hands on some of them and ended up falling in love. One of the products I picked up is the Goof Proof Brow Pencil. It was my go to brow pencil until the day I used the last of it (there were so little product the last of it fell down the drain.. I know I cried too) Because it is a little more on the expensive side (it is 24.00 at Sephora) I tried finding a new go to brow product but nothing was the same. After almost a year of trying product after product I finally caved in and repurchased it. I guess some things are worth the retail price, and great brows are one of them.

Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner

Speaking of all time favorite products, my favorite eyeliner of all time would have to be Kat Von D’s Tattoo Eyeliner in “Trooper Black”. It is a felt tip eyeliner that in my opinion creates the perfect cat eye easily. My eyes get watery very easily so it helps that the eyeliner is waterproof. When applying makeup, it is reassuring that my cat eye will be ready for any selfie and it won’t fade or have any cracks, and that is thanks to this eyeliner.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

So the one thing I wanted to get at Sephora that is new to me is a setting spray. I never thought I needed to use a setting spray (why would I spray something on my face after my makeup is done?) but my best friend who came with me recommended that I get one since I was talking to her about how my makeup almost always isn’t as good as when I first put it on throughout the day. So I thought why not!

As always I always get a little overwhelmed when it comes with finding new makeup because I’m always afraid that I’m going to spend a lot of money that something I don’t like or going to use. So I made sure to look into the products before purchasing one, and there was a lot of them! The thing that drawed me towards getting the All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray is that it is a weightless oil free spray that keeps makeup from melting, cracking, fading or settling into fine lines (this is from the package…wish I could market makeup like that). If you are in the market for a new setting spray know that it can be used for all skin types as well! I’ve used it everyday since I got so if you would like me to do a makeup review on it just let me know in the comments below!

Birthday Gift!

This last couple items were a surprise to me when I got to the counter because I forgot since I am apart of their rewards program I got a free birthday present! There were two things I could choose from and decided on the items by Tarte.

The first item is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in “Paaarty” which the name is perfect for a birthday gift! I’ve always wanted to try the blush but didn’t want to pay the $29.00 for it (I could find a cheaper drugstore one that works the same) so I was glad that it was one of the options for the birthday gift!

The second item is Tarte’s Creamy Matte Lip Paint in “Birthday Suit” which is of course very fitting. Since I found LimeCrime I’ve been really only wearing LimeCrime lipsticks (the obsession is real guys) but I had to at least try the new lipstick since I have never tried any of the Tarteist lip paints. Mini review I will have to say that it is long lasting but felt heavy throughout the day.

So that’s all of the items! I hope you guys enjoyed this mini Sephora haul! If you guys want me to review the new setting spray that I am trying (I already have some opinions on it after almost a week of using it daily) or any other products that you would like me to review let me know in the comments below! What kind of makeup have you been loving recently? Do you have any recommendations for products I should try next? Let me know as well as your thoughts in the comments below!

I hope you guys are all having a good start to your week and I will see you all in the next post!

Lime Crime Hi-Lite Opals// Swatches and Review

Happy Sunday and welcome to another blog post! Recently, Lime Crime came out with their brand new highlight palette just in time for spring “Hi-Lite Blossoms Palette”. So I thought in excitement for the new palette I would do a review of the first highlight palette “Hi-Lite Opals Palette”. “Hi-Lite Opals” came out earlier this year and since I was so impressed with the “Velvetines” I bought the palette just as it was hitting the website. So let’s get right into the review!

Let’s first talk about the packaging. The case is both iridescent and holographic showing multiple pinks and purples which I love so much.

On the back of the packaging it shows the ingredients (which I appreciate) and each of the colors.

Each of these are very impressive but what impressed me the most was the inside and the actual product size. Usually in a palette, the highlights are very small but in this palette you are getting well worth your money. You can tell by the picture that I have used them a lot already (I’ve had the palette for a few months) and still have lots of product.

It’s Swatch Time!

From top to bottom:

Unfortunately I can’t put this product through my three test questions because this product is a highlighter and not a lipstick but there are three main points I want to talk about with this product.

One thing you need to know about the Opal Palette is that it a little goes a long way. Like I said earlier, I’ve had this product for a few months now and I use it almost everyday and there is still a lot of product left. A little swipe of a brush or even a press of your finger picks up a lot of product but still lasts a long time. It is also very long lasting. I’ve worn this during a long shift and at the end of the day, you can still see some sparkle on my face.

Layer to Shine

Another thing I love about this product is that you can layer this product. If you want a more settle look, one layer does the trick. If you want a bright in your face look you can layer it for more shine. It is really up to you on how much shine you want. Personally I’ve noticed that with my skin tone it doesn’t take much with the Gold color to be bright and it takes a couple of layers to build up the Pink and Peach color.

It’s More than just a Highlighter

Throughout this blog post I’ve been talking about how great this highlighter is, but this palette works more than just a highlight. As well as highlighting the high points of the face, you can use it as an eyeshadow. I’ve been putting it on my tear duct. You can also tap it on your lips to give your lip color a little more shine. Either way, it is more than just a highlighter.

Conclusion: Would I recommend?

On the website, the “Hi-Lite Opal Palette” sells for $38.00 and I think you are getting your money’s worth. Like I said throughout this post, you get big product sizes with pigmented, layerable product that can be used for more than just highlighting. So would I recommend the “Hi-Lite Opal Palette”? 10 out of 10 yes I would recommend. Am I going to purchase the “Hi-Lite Blossoms”… yes I will totally. So that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this review. As always let me know in the comments below on what product you would like me to review next. Until then I will see you all on Tuesday!

Black Moon Liquid to Matte Lipsticks & Sugarpill Pretty Poison Lip Color// Review and Swatches!

Happy Sunday and welcome to another blog post! These past couple of days I have been out of town visiting my sister so I haven’t been able to do my usual blog posts but now I am back! A couple of blog posts ago I posted a review on Lime Crime’s Velvetine Lipsticks and really enjoyed doing it! So of course since I have no self control I got some more lipsticks to review! This time around I don’t have as many lipsticks from the same brand so I have two awesome brands to show you this time around! There’s a lot to say so let’s get started!

Black Moon Liquid to Matte Lipstick

The first brand we are starting with is an awesome brand I found through both Youtube and Instagram called “Black Moon Cosmetics”. “Black Moon” is a makeup brand set in California who has been delivering cruelty free, vegan, paraben-free and gluten-free products since 2015. They believe that pretty shiny things go hand in hand with elegant darks and that glitter can go on anything than just pink! This brand fits perfectly with my kind of aesthetic because I love both sides of the spectrum and we all know I connect with anything that has to do with the moon… cause I am a moon princess ;).

I was first intrigued by the brand from the awesome names and colors but what really got me to purchase items from this brand was the packaging. The box is black but when you open it the package is white with the words Black Moon on it. Surrounding the “Black Moon” logo is this beautiful art that reminds me that we are in this magical swamp. To contrast the white, the package is lined with red tissue paper. It also came with a little picture to show off some makeup looks and a thank you card.

Just like the mail packaging, the box that the lipstick is in matches perfectly which I love. I just can’t get over the art on the package. Especially with it being on the little boxes, it’s too perfect. That I think will make this brand memorable.

Now to contrast the original box packaging one of the lipsticks I got is apart of the Black Metal collection so instead of the white box the box is black. And instead of the art like the white boxes the silver holographic words are surrounded by purple holographic icicles (or at least I think they look like that).

And now it’s time to show the actual packaging of the lipsticks that got me to buy them. The packaging is gorgeous! The lid is black with “BM” and a crescent moon all in holographic silver. Than the container first starts with black to match the lid but then fades to the color of lipstick. It is so cool because it gives an ombre effect. I always get people asking about the makeup brand from seeing the packaging!

Swatch Time!

The descriptions are from the “Black Moon Cosmetics” website. I love love love how they choose the names for each color as well as the description written for each of them. So let’s get into the swatches!

From top to bottom:

“Gloom is the perfect “greige” nude with gray, beige, and the tiniest touch of pink that works on all skin tones.” Surprisingly, this color is my favorite out of the three. It goes great with any skin tone and goes with any cute/pastel and dark and mysterious dark look!

This is the only lip color I got that is apart of the Black Metal collection. “Immortal is a purple unlike any other- a blackened purple with flecks of purple and artic blue.” I love how the Black Metal collection was inspired by Black Metal music, and after getting this one, I definitely plan on purchasing more!

“A blacker than the blackest black of all blacks created with your soul in mind.” I’ve always wanted to let my inner emo out with a black color, and I finally feel like I can with this one!

Just like my last review, I played and wore the lipsticks for at least a week so I could get a true review and opinions on the lipsticks. What usually works for me is wearing the lipstick for a full 8 hour shift at work. During my 30 min break I check to see if it’s long lasting and if it pasts my three test questions. And by the end of my shift, I usually have an opinion on them.

Right on when I opened them I noticed a slight smell in them that reminded me of vanilla frosting. I will have to say the black metal had a weird smell that I can’t put my finger on right at this moment, but when I tried it on I didn’t notice the smell which was good. I wasn’t turned away from the black metals from the smell.

Now to see how the Liquid to Matte Lipsticks pass my three test questions!

Are they Long Lasting?

Yes, they are very long lasting. I was a lot more nervous with wearing “Sleepwalker” aka the black color because who wants to see splotchy spots missing from the lip color when you are going for a dark black look? I know I don’t. I was very pleased with how long lasting they really are. I only had to touch it up a little during my long break, and I didn’t have to touch it up that much.

Does it dry out and crack?

I am happy to say that for the most part it does not dry out. With Liquid to Matte lipsticks always make sure to put a good moisturizing lip balm on first to help keep the moisture locked in because in order for it to be matte it has to dry and that can cause drying to the lip. Now because it is a little drying it can lead to cracks, that is why I always have my lip balm on hand, dab a little on my finger (so I don’t dye the lip balm) and pat it on. By doing that, it helps it from cracking.

Does it pass the Straw Test?

Yes it does! I think that’s one of the things that I love about liquid to matte lipsticks is the fact that most of them do past the straw test. It’s always gross to go for a sip of your drink and you taste lipstick.

Would I recommend “Black Moon” Liquid to Matte Lipsticks?

Black Moon Cosmetics are only sold on their website and for each of their lipsticks they are only $18.00, which is cheaper than both Lime Crime and Too Faced. And for the product I would say you are soo getting your money’s worth. I really love this brand, the beautiful packaging, the well thought out names and the long lasting formula makes me come back to them to buy more.. Maybe even branch out to their other makeup items. So would I recommend Black Moon to a friend… of course I would! 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Sugarpill Pretty Poison Lip Color

The next brand of lipsticks is a brand I saw one of my favorite Youtubers review called “Sugarpill Cosmetics”. “Sugarpill Cosmetics” is a cruelty-free cosmetics brand based in Los Angeles, CA. They have a wide range of makeup from lipsticks, eyeshadows and even fake lashes! Recently “Sugarpill” came out with new “Pretty Poison” lip colors that caught my eye. Normally they have very bright and pretty lip colors, so seeing them come out with darker colors I couldn’t help but have for my own. There are 4 colors total but I only got 3 out of the four, cause I was only ready to have one black lipstick in my collection. So let’s dive right into the review!

Right from the get go, the box that it all came in is adorable. The box is pink with a cute white heart that says “Hi Cutie!” in a cute font. Surrounding the heart is little pills like the original makeup packaging. The box is lined with a cute sky blue tissue paper and comes with a card showing the product but also a “Sugarpill” sticker! How adorable! The boxes that the lipsticks in are black with the words “Pretty Poison” on it and what really gets me that on top of the box has another “Hi Cutie!” on it! I love it when brands correlate all the packaging together!

Now this is the first time I’ve had any “Sugarpill” products in my hand but I have seen Youtubers review them so I have seen the original “Sugarpill” lipstick packaging. Normally the lipsticks are shaped like a pill (get it, cause SugarPILL) with a pink and white colors and a pink heart with a cross on it, very cute. But since “Sugarpill” is going for more a darker look instead of the white contrasting with the pink the bottom half is black and the heart is black as well.

If you open the lipstick you can see the word “Sugarpill” across the lipstick in a cute pink and black font. This packaging is too adorable.

Swatch Time!

From top to bottom, descriptions come from their website.

The perfect cobalt blue. I was too intrigued not to get this color, now I need to find a look that would go great with this color!

Dark Sided

A matte, deep plum. A very close relative to my all time favorite dark red. I feel like I can let my “dark side” out with this color. (Ha… get it dark side, the lip color is Dark Sided… ok I think I’m funny.”

A semi-matte blackened burgundy. My favorite out of the three. It perfectly describes me in the name and in the color.

If I’m going to be honest with you guys I do have to say that I did have a little bit of a struggle with these lipsticks because they are a normal lipstick and not a liquid lipstick! I have come so accustomed to the putting on liquid lipstick, I look at a normal lipstick and think “What do I do with this?!” I think that is the main reason why I was afraid of getting the black color because I knew I would make a complete mess out of myself.

Putting all that aside, when you open the lid it doesn’t really have a certain smell to it (other than it smells like lipstick) so that was an interesting surprise. Putting it on, I’m not sure that it’s because i’m not as experienced with them as I am with liquid lipsticks but for me it was a little harder for me to get the lipstick on. The formula is very creamy though, that’s why I feel with more practice it will get easier. Blame the person, not the product ;).

Now does “Sugarpill’s Pretty Poison Lip Colors” pass my three test questions??

Are they long lasting?

Yes, they do last but not for too long periods of time, especially if you are eating or sipping continually throughout the night (like I was sipping off a cup of water during my shift) I did have to reapply it a few times throughout the night. That being said, you know how with some lipsticks after you wear the lipstick for more than a few hours it starts to get uncomfortable on your lips, these lipsticks don’t give me that uncomfortable feeling. So even though it does fade a little, it’s still a comfortable wear.

Does it dry out and crack?

It does dry out after a while because so I always put a lip balm on before and tap it on while wearing it, but this product does not crack! Since it is a normal lipstick and not a liquid to matte liquid lipstick it doesn’t suck all the moisture in your lips in order for it to dry matte.

Does it pass the Straw Test?

Unfortunately it does not pass the straw test, but honestly I would rather have a little lipstick on my straw then have my lips feel uncomfortable during the time I wear it. That’s the downfall of wearing normal lipsticks compared to liquid lipsticks.

Would I recommend “Sugarpill’s Pretty Poison Lip Colors”?

If you are experienced with normal lipsticks rather than liquid to matte lipsticks I would say yes to recommend them! Despite my troubles with putting them on I still think they are a great product. They are only sold on their website and for each they are $20.00 and I do feel they are a little pricy but they are still a good product. I enjoy each of the colors (Anti-Socialite is my favorite out of the three I got) but if I had to choose between a liquid lipstick that was cheaper compared to these, I would go for the liquid lipstick because that is what I am used to using. Now there are some liquid lipsticks that Sugarpill has, so I do want to try those and I will let you know what I think. That all being said I would still recommend this brand because the colors are great, the creamy formula and the adorable packaging. 8 out of 10, would recommend.

Well there you have it, my thoughts and opinions on “Black Moon” Liquid to Matte Lipsticks and “Sugarpill” Pretty Poison Lip Color. This post was a long one, but it was well worth it! I always have fun doing these types of blog posts, so if you have any makeup brands or lip products you would like me to try and review let me know in the comments! I’m sorry again for being M.I.A last week with being out of town, but I am back and ready to write now! I hope last week went well for you all as well as this week goes well and I will see you on Tuesday!

Lime Crime Velvetine Liquid Lipstick Swatches & Review!!

Happy Sunday and welcome to another blog post! If you follow me on Instagram you know that one late late night after watching a bunch of makeup unboxing videos I was browsing around a makeup website called Lime Crime. Lime Crime is a makeup brand set in Los Angeles California and is labeled as “Makeup for Unicorns” which of course I love. Another thing I love is that they are also certified vegan and cruelty free! On a designer point of view I loved how eye catching the website is. I texted my sister saying that Lime Crime’s website is website goals for my own website. So since I have no self control when it comes to awesome makeup I ended up buying 5 of the Velvetine Liquid Lipsticks and then later buying the new Hi-Lite Opals once it came out and got a new lipstick as well with the purchase. So let’s talk about the lipsticks! Side note I am not a professional makeup artist… I’m just a lover of makeup. I got a bunch of things to say so let’s get started!

First let’s talk about packaging. Until now, I’ve never ordered anything from Lime Crime so I was excited to see how they package their makeup. When it finally came in the mail and I opened the box I fell in love. On the back flap is Lime Crime’s Logo surrounded by roses and a cloudy background. The lipsticks are covered in pink tissue paper and under all the tissue paper are the words Lime Crime with their social media. It’s so cute I don’t have the heart to throw it away!

Getting to the lipstick packaging the boxes are adorable. It is a metallic box with “Velvetines” written in fun curvy font surrounded by roses just like in the box packaging. On the top of the box is the name of the color as well as a sample of the color that lines the back of the package where it shows Lime Crime’s Logo, info about the brand and certification that they are vegan and cruelty free. Too cute!

When you get the lipstick out the lid matches the box and the color shows through on the bottom lid. I love how all the packaging for all the Velvetines goes with the description of them on the website!

“The original Liquid (matte/metallic) lipstick inspired by Rose Petals”

From Top to Bottom:

A Rose Gold Metallic Velvetine

A Rose Bronze Metallic Velvetine

A Bright Fluorescent Pink Matte Velvetine

A Dusky Nude Matte Velvetine

Red Hot:

A Metallic Cherry Red Velvetine

A Metallic Black Red Velvetine

I am usually a matte type of girl when it comes to lipsticks and just makeup in general, but when I was browsing around Lime Crime’s website I was so interested in their metallic line, I needed to see what the Metallics looked like on my face.

After playing with them, my favorite would be Eclipse because I love how the black red brought out the hints of gold in my dark brown eyes. Plus I am always looking for a new dark red.

That being said, If I prefer a dark color, why get a bright fluorescent pink color like “Flamingo”? Yes it is very very pink, and yes it doesn’t go well with my skin tone, but I couldn’t help but get it because it is called Flamingo aka half my brand’s mascot! The funny thing is that “Flamingo” was only a limited time offer awhile back so I had to go searching for it. I ended up finding it on this awesome website called Dolls Kill! I didn’t get a chance to browse that website, but I plan on doing that sometime soon!

Now that you’ve seen the colors I’ve gotten, let’s get into the formula!! I’ve had these lipsticks for about a week so I’ve had some time to play with them. Opening each other I noticed that each of them have a vanilla cupcake scent to them, but varied on the intensity of the smell. Out of the 6 colors I got, 4 of them are metallic velvetines and 2 of them are matte velvetines. The metallic lipsticks has a very intense smell of the vanilla cupcake when opening and the matte lipsticks has a faint smell but you can still tell it is there.

Putting the lipstick on it goes on very smooth but it is a little thin so if you want more of a bold color you have to put on a few layers.

Test and Compare

When I look for a liquid lipstick I always look for three things. Is it long lasting? Does it dry my lips out and crack? Does it pass the straw test? If you have read my older blogs you know that my all time favorite liquid to matte lipstick is Too Faced “Melted Matte Liquified Matte Lipstick” in “Drop Dead Red”. This was the first liquid lipstick I found that was matte and I love a dark red lip…as we all know :). I was working long shifts this past weekend so I decided on one day wear “Eclipse” from Lime Crime and “Drop Dead Red” from Too Faced the next and do a comparison with my three test questions so here are the results!

Long Lasting?

On the day I wore “Eclipse” I found that it was very long lasting. The only time I really had to touch it up was after I ate a meal but even then I didn’t have to touch it up much. On the day I wore “Drop Dead Red” I felt like I had to touch up every few hours and by the end of my shift I felt I lost color close to where my top and bottom lip touches.

Does it Dry out and Crack?

Unfortunately both lips did dry out and crack by the end of the night and crack a little (I feel like if I applied a moisturizing lip balm it would have helped) but there was still a difference in how much it dried out my lips. “Drop Dead Red” dries my lips out a lot and I usually have to put a lot of chapstick on just for my lips to feel hydrated again but even though it dried my lips out a little when taking off “Eclipse” at the end of the night I wasn’t rushing to find a chap stick.
The one thing that I loved about “Drop Dead Red” is how thick the formula is so you don’t have to put on as many layers to get the color you want. The downfall of how thick it is, is that the more thicker it is (at least in my opinion) it has a tendency to suck all the moisture in my lips and crack. Since “Eclipse’s” formula is on the thinner side it shows more texture and the creases in my lips (which I noticed it does that more with the metallics than the mattes) even though you have to add more layers if you don’t want the textures and creases of your lips to show but it doesn’t crack as much due to how thin it is.

Does it pass the Straw Test

I have never found a lipstick let alone a liquid lipstick that has passed this part of the test…UNTIL NOW! I was pleasantly surprised when I took a sip out of my coffee to find that there wasn’t lipstick on the straw and for that I have a new respect for Lime Crime.

Test Conclusion

Even though I loved loved “Drop Dead Red” I think I found a new favorite. I still always lean towards a matte color compared to a metallic or gloss so I may have to find another dark color but with a matte finish. If you compare prices “Drop Dead Red” from Too Faced is $21.00 while “Eclipse” from Lime Crime is $20.00 so the prices are similar, so it just depends on which formula you prefer. I still love Too Faced as a brand and I love that they are cruelty free as well, but when it comes to a liquid lipstick, after testing each one I’m going to reach for a Lime Crime Velvetine more than a Too Faced Melted Matte.

So there you have it! I really do love these lipsticks and I can’t wait to try out other colors as well as other makeup products from Lime Crime. Like I said earlier, I did order the Hi-Lite Opals powder palette as well and have also been playing around with that too. Maybe one day when I get enough Lime Crime products and confidence I’ll do a full face tutorial with them… but I’m not ready for that yet tehe!

I hope you enjoyed this little review as well as maybe answered any questions. If you do still have any questions or have any other ideas for makeup review posts let me know in the comments below! Thank you for your time and I will see you on Tuesday with another post!

Summer Favorites 2016

Happy Fall everyone! Close friends know that fall is my favorite time of the year with it being the season of Halloween, my most favorite holiday of all time.

But before I forget all the hot summer days and dive into my love which is fall, I wanted to share with you my summer favorites. These are items that I have discovered either in makeup (lets be honest, almost all of them are makeup) beauty products or fashion. So without further ado, I give to you my Summer Favorites 2016.

Since most of my favorites are makeup items, let’s first start with the makeup items.

Benefit’s Watt’s Up! Cream Highlighter

The first favorite is a highlighter. I know I know, I’m late to join the highlighting wagon, but I am here now and now feel like my face is a ghost without them.

I’ve always wanted to try highlighting my face but I one didn’t know how to do it or what product I should use. I watched carefully at how my favorite Youtube makeup artists did their highlighting and one day while at Sephora with my sister I was looking at highlighters and the one that caught my eye the most was the Benefit’s Watt’s Up! Cream Highlighter.

The bulb like packaging is very hard to miss. On one side is the formula and on the opposite side is a huge sponge to blend the highlight out. I was already interested in the product because it was by Benefit, my favorite high-end makeup brand (for the adorable vintage packaging and the good formulas) so I knew that the formula would be great. When I swatched it on my hand I was happy to see that the product not only was soft and smooth (not heavy and hard to blend) but how it also was a soft highlight and not the “get your sunglasses on cause I’m gonna blind you” bright color. The huge sponge on the end is not only perfect for beginners like me but makes the process go faster so I’m not spending hours on just highlighting my face. It is a little more expensive than your drugstore highlighter, but it does last a long time, I got mine in early June and I still have a lot of product left.

Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer

So with me trying out highlighting, of course I couldn’t try highlight without also bronzing. I was a little more nervous with trying bronzer so I wanted to try something simple. Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer was the perfect match for me because of the formula being matte, so no shine (that’s what the highlight is for).

The product comes with it’s own brush but I like to use my own brush to powder over my chin cheeks and forehead. It does take a little bit to blend it in (around the cheeks) but I love how it gives me the natural-looking “tan” all day. I was nervous that I would end up not using as much bronzer so I only got a sample, but I ended up loving it and it goes well with my makeup routine!

Benefit’s CORALista Coral Blush

When it comes to blushes, I can’t get enough of coral! I was originally using the Coral color by Maybeline (can’t remember the exact name but I know it was in there Fit Me collection) but had always wanted to try Benefit’s Coralista Coral blush. Every time I went to either Sephora or Ulta to get it they were always out, so when I went with my sister (to get the highlight and bronzer) I was happy to see it stocked and had to get my hands on it.

Like Hoola Matte Bronzer, Coralista coral blush came with its own brush but I like to use my own brush to lightly brush it over my cheeks under the highlight. I can see why it was always sold out in stores, this blush definitely goes under my go to blushes of all time.

Benefit’s Brow Collection: Goof Proof Brow Pencil, Gimme Brow, High Brow Glow Brow Highlighter

This summer Benefit came out with a whole new brow collection that is to die for. Before I was using a cheap little pallet and was ready for a brow makeover. I first was introduced to the collection through some of my favorite Youtube makeup artists (they got a first look at it…lucky ducks) so when it finally reached stores I had to get my hands on them.

Nine products came out (some were old products with a new formula which is awesome) and of course with Benefit being Benefit with eye catching silver packaging with bright pink lettering. Even though there is nine products, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to get all nine products to sculpt the perfect brow. Everyone has different eyebrow needs so everyone can find one product helpful and a one not so helpful. Another thing I love about this collection is that there is six different shades (numbered from 01-06) to choose from ranging from light to deep. Once you find your number (I am number 04- medium) you can easily pick out the other brow products you want without going through the hassle of finding your color again.

Out of the nine products I found three of them to be my favorite. I first use to shape my brows the Goof Proof Eyebrow pencil. After testing it out for the first time I can honestly say that the name “Goof Proof” lives up to it’s name. It gives inexperienced people with eyebrows (like myself) an easy way to fill and shape your eyebrows in little to no time which is perfect for me cause I always seem to be running late to school or work.

After I use Goof Proof I go to the Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel. Gimme Brow is awesome because it is a tinted eyebrow gel that gives the look of fullness and definition. I use Goof Proof and Gimme Brow as a pair, goof proof to shape and fill my brows than Gimme Brow as a “gel glue” (don’t worry it doesn’t glue your brows…that would be bad) to help tame them and give them fullness.

So of course with highlighting the rest of my face, highlighting my eyebrow bone is a no brainer! And what better product to do that than the High Glow Brow Highlighter. Like I mentioned earlier, High Brow and High Brow Glow are two of the old products that have new packaging and a new formula and I am so happy with this new formula. The old High Brow Glow had a beautiful champagne-pink shade but was difficult to blend. Now with the new formula I get the best of both worlds! It really pops out the eyebrows (even though they get hidden with my huge glasses) and really goes well with the highlight on my cheeks and nose bone.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquefied Matte Lipstick

Believe it or not my next makeup favorite is not a Benefit product! I will now and forever be obsessed with the dark lip look and when shopping at Sephora or Ulta I am always in search for my next favorite color. When I was a Sephora I was checking out one of the endcaps talking about liquid lipstick. I’m not a huge fan of liquid lipstick but when I saw that this Too Faced liquid lipstick dried matte I had to swatch it. I swatched it as well as other lipsticks and continued looking around Sephora. As we were shopping around Sephora I looked down at my hand to see that the Too Faced lipstick had indeed turned matte and had to go grab that lip color from that endcap. That color was Drop Dead Red and has been my favorite lip color since. The lip color not only long lasting but stays matte and doesn’t itch or burn your lips.

Since that purchase, I have gotten back to get two more colors, Sell Out, a matte soft pink brown perfect for summer, and Evil Twin, a matte deep dark cherry color for my sassy dark days. Unfortunately I have lost my all time favorite Drop Dead Red but with it now being fall I have a feeling that I will be reunited with it again soon!

Those are all the makeup favorites, now to move on to the beauty products.

Jergens Natural Glow Self Tanner: Color Primer, Instant Sun, Tan Extender

The first beauty product (or products in this case) I want to talk about is Jergens Natural Glow Self Tanner. Now like with everything else, I have no idea what I am doing, and with staying inside everyday with two jobs and being sick of my veiny legs (tmi?) I was just sick of being pasty white during the summer so I was willing to try self tanner. I was looking into getting the self tanner version of Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer but with me being such a beginner I didn’t want to spend too much money on something I could end up hating or barley using. So at target I saw that Jergens had new (could be new, could be old) self tanner products so I thought I would give it a shot. I already knew Jergens was a brand I trusted because I have always used their Ultra Healing lotion and each product was reasonably priced.

Now unfortunately I have to say that I don’t have a full review on the products because I didn’t use them as much as I first intended to… which I knew that would end up happening so it worked out for me in the end! For the few times that I actually used these products I wish I would have gotten a darker shade. I got the Light Bronze shade which barely showed a difference (I am naturally light tan). But for being a foam formula I thought that for my first shot of self tanner, It worked out pretty well.

Glamglow GravityMud Firming Face Mask

I will be honest, the only reason why I got this product was because I saw one of my favorite Youtube makeup artist use this and I was caught on to it because the mask was legit silver. After trying it though I could feel it firming my face without burning it like other masks has before. Also it doesn’t take as long to dry and something ever so satisfying about peeling a silver layer of skin off your face keeps me going back to it during my weekly cleaning routine. I haven’t used the other two masks yet but I am excited to see how they feel on my face.

Note, the other two masks smell wonderful, the silver mask has a strong coconut smell. I personally don’t like the smell of coconuts, but the pure fact of having a silver face for 20 minutes beats the smell of coconuts. If you don’t like the smell of coconuts, you may not like this product especially since they are a little on the pricey side.

Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life

Like most of my makeup/beauty products I see a youtube use them and I have to get my hands on it. But of course with my luck both the Walgreens and the CVS Pharmacy near where I live don’t have Soap & Glory (don’t worry, I checked both places) and when I finally found a small section of the brand at my local Ulta I didn’t even find the products she even talked about. But that’s ok, because I found something better.

On a side note before even getting into the actual product can I please take a moment to talk about the packaging Soap & Glory has. To begin with they have a vintage look to every product like Benefit Cosmetics does which I am attracted to but if you take the time to read what each product says, it’s hard to not buy all of their products at once. Like with the Scrub of Your life the front lists off what it does to you skin and casually adds to the end “you start to believe that scrub can conquer all”. Is that not cute or not?! On the back when it is talking about how to use the product it tells customers to “follow all this with Soap & Glory body moisturizer, but we’re biased.” What about that doesn’t make you smile… or in my case want to buy all of their products?!

But back to the actual product. I believe this is the scrub of my life… just like the name says. I put it on my elbows, knees and my heels and instantly feel smoother and I do find myself thinking that this scrub can conquer all (tehe :D). Plus it has a wonderful lime smell to it which makes it even better to use. I am almost out with this bottle and is pretty affordable so I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius

A problem I have noticed I’ve been having this summer is my extra dry heels. Working on my feet for 8-16 hours a day (I know, I worked too much) wearing either tennis shoes or converse over time did nothing but take away any moisture on my feet. But with it being sandal season, I wanted to be able to wear sandals and not feel like people are staring at my extra dry heels (like they would anyways?? You never know.) So when I saw this product I couldn’t help but buy it. Like the rest of their products, the cute saying killed me inside (in a good way of course). It first starts out with “NO MEAN FEET” which I found personally hilarious. It then went on how to use the product but put in “or at least as often as you remember” which if I didn’t have to find a cure for my extra dry heels I would buy and try just for that sentence there. That shows that the people at Soap & Glory understand that we are all complicated forgetful human beings just trying to solve the problem of having dry feet, and for that I applaud and thank you.

Now I say that last sentence because I am truly a complicated forgetful human, aka I forgot most nights to do this. But after only one time of using it I found results the next day. Plus in the morning when I took my socks off the scent of orange and lemon was still on my feet. If using this product helped my extra dry feet feel moisturized after using it a few times, just think of how they would feel if I actually remembered to use this product?

Sandals and More Sandals

Speaking of feet, my last two favorites are two pairs of sandals.

The first pair I found at target, a cheaper knock off brand from everyone’s favorite Birkenstock sandals. I fell in love with them right after buying them. I could wear them with anything, from a comfy t-shirt and jean short pair to my favorite striped dress, these shoes were worn daily. They were worn so much the bottom is starting to tear off.

The next pair I found on clearance (10 dollar steal) at Payless Shoe store when I went to visit my little sister in late June early July. The brand is a brand I have never heard of called Christian Siriano and I instantly fell in love with the contrast between the black and white bottoms. These shoes go great with my favorite skinny  jeans or a cute dress.

So there are my summer favorites! If you are interested in any of the makeup or beauty products, I do have most links below. Also if you like this type of blog let me know, I had so much fun taking these photos (I painted the background myself). Also let me know if you have any ideas for any blog posts, with fall and Halloween being my favorite time of year I have a lot of blog ideas (and hopefully doodles) planned for you!

Hope your summer was well spent and let the fall time begin!
