My Halloween Costume 2017

Happy Halloween and welcome to another blog post! These past couple of days have been blog posts leading up to this post and I am here to finally be able to share with you my Halloween costume for 2017! I love how it turned out and how my friend was able to capture it in photos. So that being said, let’s just get right into it! Without further ado, I present to you my Halloween Costume for 2017!

The Idea for my Costume

When I was thinking about what I wanted to be for Halloween I knew automatically that I wanted to be a Hufflepuff student from Hogwarts with the sorting into House Hufflepuff earlier this year. Even though the Harry Potter Series has been around for a long time, merchandise for houses other than Gryffindor wasn’t really popular since Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all from House Gryffindor. But with more and more people taking the sorting house quiz on Pottermore, Harry Potter merchandise is finally opening up more to more than just Gryffindor. People are proud to be in their sorted houses and want to show off to other fans their House Pride, myself included. I want the world to know that I am proud to be in Hufflepuff and what better way to do that than dress in full Hufflepuff from top to bottom (almost completely) for Halloween.

It just so happen that I found all of my Hufflepuff gear from Hot Topic (no this isn’t sponsored, I only wish) which made putting this costume together so simple because it was all in one place! Let’s get into the pieces!

The Skirt

This was the piece that inspired to go this direction instead of finding a robe. It is a yellow skater skirt with a black plaid pattern and a badger and the house name in the corner. It also comes with straps, but since I was wearing a sweater and a tie, I thought it would be too much so I took them off. If I wasn’t wearing the sweater, showing off the straps would be very cute!

The Sweater

This sweater is a long black sweater with yellow accents on the sleeves and the house emblem on the front. You can wear it buttoned up or unbuttoned and stay warm when you aren’t wearing a robe!

The Socks

These socks were a great find because it goes great with the skater skirt idea. They are black socks that go over the knee and have a badger and Hufflepuff written on it. This brings the uniform all together!

The Tie

This skinny tie makes the uniform look more professional. It is a silky yellow tie with black stripes. Please don’t tease me for how it is tied, before this I never knew how to tie a tie!

The Headband

This headband is a yellow thick headband with the emblem on the side. It is great for when you want to have your hair down but still want to show your house pride.

The Scrunchie

This is another great find at Hot Topic. This as well as two others came in a variety pack for when you need to pull your hair back. Scrunchies have made a comeback and what better way to show your school pride in a subtle way than with this hair accessory.

And now that you’ve seen the costume up close, let’s get some action shots!

From posing normal….

…to getting that side angle.

From staring at your awesome socks…

…to realizing you don’t have your wand.

From posing at this angle…

…to this angle,

…to this angle,

…to in your face.

Now make a cute pose again…

From realizing you have a broom…

…to realize you should have paid attention to your flying lessons.

From catching up on your favorite book series…

…to finally getting an inside photo with your wand.

DANCE PARTY!

Conclusion

So that’s it, that is my week of Halloween posts leading up today! I really hope you enjoyed these posts as much as I did putting them together. I worked really hard on them and I hope it shows! DIY Skull Terrarium

Happy week of Halloween and welcome to another blog post! I hope you are enjoying this week of blog posts, I know I am! This time around I thought I would show you a cute DIY perfect for Halloween! Terrariums have made a comeback in the last couple of years and with Halloween around the corner, I thought it would be awesome to create a Skull Terrarium for you all! It’s really easy to do and fun to be able to create and design it yourself. So let’s just get right into it, here is my DIY Skull Terrarium!

What You Will Need:

I got all of my supplies at Michaels. If you read my Halloween Decor Haul you know that when I went to Michaels all of their Halloween stuff was on clearance to make room for Christmas stuff so I got all of the supplies (minus one item that wasn’t technically Halloween but still at a good price) for a really good price!

Skull Containers

Moss

Make sure you get a different variety of moss to add more color and texture to the skulls.

Small Halloween Accessories

I love these pieces! When I was at Michaels I originally was gonna find something else to use the skull containers but once I saw these pieces I was instantly inspired to do this DIY!

Succulents

I found big ones and small ones but ended up only using the smaller ones.

Now that you have all of your supplies, let’s make some Skull Terrariums!

Step 1:

Cut the flat moss in strips and then in halves to make squares and so on depending on how small you think they need to be.
Note: The moss is pretty messy when you cut it, so cut it over a trash bag, newspaper whatever so it doesn’t get all over your workspace.

Step 2:

Layer the flat moss on the bottom of the skull to give it a thick base.
Note: It is ok that the flat moss pieces don’t fully cover the bottom (the skull isn’t a square shape) we will be filling it with other moss later.)

Step 3:

Add your main piece. For this first one, I was going more for a graveyard so I wanted the “Will Not Rest In Peace” be the main piece.

Step 4:

Add more moss to fill in holes, protect the pieces and to add more color.

I also added another graveyard stone to the other side to complete my Skull graveyard!

The Other Skull

I also made another skull terrarium for my friend. I followed the same exact steps but instead, I added a rose skull and the small succulents. She loved it when I gave it to her!

Conclusion

So that’s it! It was so easy to make and so fun to do! I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoyed making it! We are so close to the big day but I still got a few more blog posts for you guys that I can’t wait to share with you! Let me know some other DIY projects I can do on here as well as other blog post ideas in the comments below, I am always open to new blog ideas! Until tomorrow, have a wonderful day and I will see you in the next blog post!

Anime to Watch During Halloween

Happy week of Halloween and welcome to another blog post! We are halfway through the Halloween posts and I realized that I haven’t done an anime post yet for this Halloween week! So I thought it would be about time I added one in for my fellow weebs and nerds out there! Halloween brings a lot of fun times from haunted houses to Halloween parties, but sometimes it’s just a good idea to stay home all bundled up and watch some good anime. In the beginning of the week I talked about Halloween movies to watch and just in case you are more in the anime mood instead of a Halloween movie (or you have watched them all already and need something new to watch) I thought I would share some anime shows to watch this Halloween Season! So let’s get into it, here are some anime to watch during Halloween!

Tokyo Ghoul

The first show to watch during Halloween is Tokyo Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul is about a boy named Kaneki whose normal life is completely changed when he is changed to a ghoul and has to live in the world as a half ghoul-half human. This show is great for Halloween because it has that creepy-fantasy side but also a slice of life side to the anime with the struggle between humans and ghouls trying to exist in the same world.

Highschool of the Dead

Speaking of a mix of creepy-fantasy and slice of life, the next anime to watch during Halloween is Highschool of the Dead. Highschool of the Dead is set in modern day Japan where the world is suddenly by a deadly pandemic where humans are turning into zombies and a group of high schoolers have to try to survive this zombie apocalypse. If you read my Anime Tag blog post you know that I have mixed feelings towards this show. Though I think it is a good show and perfect for Halloween, I also think that this show tries to fanservice a little too much with sexualizing the female characters.

Death Parade

The next is an anime I have been interested in for a while and recently watched earlier this year and that is Death Parade. Death Parade is about a place called Quindecim where humans after death are challenged to a game and ultimately get judged by arbiters to see who goes gets reincarnated or thrown into the void. The main character Decim, an arbiter, starts questioning the true meaning of being an arbiter after meeting a strange black haired girl who enters Quindecim. The reason why it took me so long to finally watch this show because all I’ve heard is on how sad and depressing this show is. Which the show is about death, so I can see how it is sad, but I am so glad I watched it! Though it had some really sad moments and I did emotionally break down after watching a certain episode the show is so well done. So if you are in the mood to get all the feels, Death Parade is the way to go!

Attack on Titan

This is the part of the blog post where you just knew either Sailor Moon or Attack on Titan would pop up sometime, and this time it is Attack on Titan’s turn! Anytime I can recommend an anime, I always recommend Attack on Titan because I love it so much, especially season 2. So of course with Halloween, who wouldn’t want to watch the struggle for the existence of mankind against Titans… that just screams Halloween! Quick little update, I haven’t been able to watch the Attack on Titan Junior High or Attack on Titan No Regrets yet but I have gotten some new Attack on Titan books that I’ve started to dive in and will let you know how I feel about those!

Vampire Knight

The next anime is a favorite from my early anime watching days and that is Vampire Night. Vampire Knight is about a girl named Yuki Cross who attends Cross Academy where there is a “Day Class” aka the human class and the “Night Class” vampire class and it is her job as well as her mysterious (but handsome) friend Zero Kiryu to protect them. Along the way Yuki find out that Zero has been struggling to fight his transformation into a vampire and tries to help him live as a vampire while recovering her own lost memories of the past. This show is great for Halloween because who doesn’t love a love triangle without the sparkles? (haha get it, cause of Twilight.. Ha ok I thought I was punny.)

Chibi Vampire Karin

So I honestly forgot all about this anime until I was starting this blog post. This next anime is called Chibi Vampire Karin. Chibi Vampire Karin is about a vampire named Karin who is unlike the rest of her vampire family. Karin doesn’t feed on blood but instead produces it. Since she produces it instead of feed on it she is forced to bite others to expel the extra blood or she has major nosebleeds. Other than that Karin lives a normal highschool life when a new transfer student Kenta comes and learns her secret. The show then revolves around Kenta trying to live a “normal life” as trouble starts happening around them as well as feelings for each other. This anime is just so much fun to watch! It has the vampire blood side of the show but also the funny moments like when Karin has her crazy nose bleeds and cute moments between Karin and Kenta. Ah writing this makes me want to rewatch this series again!

Ouran Highschool Host Club Halloween Episode

Now this anime has nothing to do with fantasy or Halloween but the series does have a Halloween episode that I could not put in this post. If you don’t know Ouran Highschool Host Club is about a girl named Haruhi who is stuck in a Host club because on her first day she accidently knocks over an expensive vase and is told to repay it through becoming the Host Club’s errand boy. The host club decides to run a Halloween event in which teams try to scare each other. I love this episode because you just get to see the host club just be so pure especially around Haruhi. If you haven’t seen Ouran High School you should at least watch this episode if you love Halloween and a little slice of life.

Conclusion

And that’s all the animes! I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post as much as I did putting it all together. Like I said before we are halfway through these posts so that means we are almost to Halloween! Do you guys have any plans for Halloween? Are you trick or treating this year? Let me know these answers plus other ideas for blog posts in the comments below. I am always up to new ideas for blog posts! Until tomorrow, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and I will see you in the next blog post!

Halloween Goodie Bags 2017

Happy week of Halloween and welcome to another blog post! This year I thought I would make a little treat for my coworkers and friends but since I am not the greatest at baking I thought I would instead make little goodie bags. This way I can show my coworkers how much I appreciate them as well as celebrate my favorite holiday! Other than the candy (which was only $7-$8 a bag) these items either ranged from $1.00-$3.00 so it was very easy getting a wide range of things for a really good price! Since it was so easy putting these together I plan on doing this again next year and it could be a little Halloween tradition! So that all being said, here is my Halloween Goodie Bags for 2017!

Also just in case you were wondering, I got everything at either Target or Michaels Craft Store!

The Candy

The Goodie Bags

I wanted ones with bats, but since they didn’t have any I found these cute skeleton and spider ones instead!

Pencils

Erasers

Bouncy Balls

Bubbles

Eye Rings

Mini Notebook

Conclusion

So that’s everything that went into my goodie bags! I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I enjoyed putting it together! Do you have any Halloween traditions? Let me know in the comments below as well as any other ideas for blog posts. I’m always up to new blog posts! I hope this Halloween week is treating you well and I will see you tomorrow!

My Favorite Halloween Movies!

Happy week of Halloween and welcome to another blog post! This is the first blog post of this week of Halloween related blog posts leading up to the 31st! One of the traditions I love during the Halloween season is getting together with loved ones and having a Halloween movie marathon with hot chocolate and treats. So I thought I would share with you some of my favorite Halloween themed/Halloween vibes movies! Before I get into the post I do have to confess something to you… even though I love and live for Halloween 365 days a year I hate horror films. I am such a scaredy Kat (haha see what I did there) when it comes to horror films, I’ve never seen one in theaters and during sleepovers I’m always the one with a blanket over my head. So as much as I would like there to be don’t expect any horror films to make the list. That being said let’s get into it! Here are some of my favorite Halloween Movies!

Hocus Pocus (1993)

The first movie is of course Hocus Pocus. Hocus Pocus is about three witch sisters who are resurrected in modern day Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl and an immortal cat to stop them. I love this movie so much because it is just a classic and the characters are so funny.

Halloweentown Series (1998-2006)

The second is the first of two series on this list and that is Halloweentown. Halloweentown revolves around a girl named Marnie who finds out she is a witch and is taken to a place called Halloweentown where everything is Halloween. When an evil sorcerer tries to destroy Halloweentown, it is up to Marnie, her grandma and her younger siblings to save Halloweentown. In the series there are 4 movies and while I did enjoy the last two they weren’t the same as Halloweentown and Halloweentown II due to the change of actress to the main character Marnie.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The next film is perfect for Halloween, Christmas or anytime of year and that is of course Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Nightmare Before Christmas revolves around the pumpkin king Jack Skellington who discovers Christmas and attempts to bring Christmas into his crazy world of Halloween. I love this movie because of the characters, mostly Jack and Sally. Tim Burton always knows how to bring the characters to life and make them relatable even if they’re a pumpkin and a doll. And the soundtrack (like all Tim Burton’s movies) is amazing as well!

Harry Potter Series (2001-2011)

Who would I be if I didn’t add this series to this list? You all know my love for the Harry Potter series so I feel like I don’t have to say much about this series. But with wizards, witches, magic and more it just screams Halloween! I would one day would love to watch all 8 movies in one day I just need to find someone to do it with me!

Casper Meets Wendy (1998)

The next movie is one I used to love watching as a kid and that is Casper meets Wendy. Casper meets Wendy is a movie about Casper the friendly ghost who teams up with a young witch to face an evil warlock. This movie is great because it shows friendship and bringing people together. Plus who doesn’t love a young Hillary Duff??

Corpse Bride (2005)

The next movie is probably my favorite Tim Burton movie and that is Corpse Bride. Corpse Bride is about a groom who finds himself married to a deceased young woman after practicing his wedding vows. I love this movie for the storytelling and the loveable characters. I love the colors in this movie as well you can tell the difference between the living world and the world of the dead.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

The next movie is once again a Tim Burton movie and that is Sweeney Todd. A couple years back when I lived in my first apartment the girl I lived with loved Tim Burton movies so during Halloween time she showed me some of Tim Burton’s movies and I fell in love with them. He has a lot of movies and I would like to say I’ve seen them all one day. Sweeney Todd was the first of those movies that she showed me. Other than watching her play through Kingdom Hearts, watching these movies was one of my favorite memories in that apartment. Back to talking about the movie, Sweeney Todd is about a man named Benjamin Barker who sets up a barber shop to get revenge on the man who took his family away from him. Because this movie is based off the Broadway musical of Sweeney Todd there is a lot of wonderful music in this movie. I also love Helena Bonham Carter’s character Mrs. Lovett and how much she turns obsessed with having a future with Sweeney Todd.

Sleepy Hollow(1999)

The last Tim Burton movie on my list is Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow is a movie about Ichabod Crane is sent to a town called Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of 3 people as well as finding and stopping the legendary killer, the Headless Horseman. This movie is great because there are twists and turns in this movie that you don’t expect.

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)

So even though you wouldn’t think this movie would be considered a Halloween movie but to me it has Halloween vibes, and this movie is The Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera is about a young girl named Christine who becomes the obsession of a musical genius who lives beneath the Paris Opera House. When I was around 10 years old my family and I went to New York City to see a couple of broadway shows. My sisters, cousins and I got to see the broadway production of Beauty and the Beast while my mom and her sisters saw the broadway production of Phantom of the Opera. If I would have known then how much I loved the movie years later I would have chosen to see Phantom of the Opera though Beauty and the Beast was still a night to remember. I love the music, I love the casting (Gerard Butler hello handsome) and just the way The Phantom is obsessed with Christine makes my heart skip a beat.

Practical Magic (1998)

The last movie on this list is Practical Magic. Practical Magic is about two witch sisters who have to face closed-minded prejudice in their small hometown and a curse that threatens to prevent the sisters from finding everlasting love. I love this movie because it gives me memories of when I was younger and watching this movie with my mom. She loved this movie and when Halloween came around she would always want to watch this movie and I would watch it with her.

Conclusion

So that’s all of my favorite Halloween movies! I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed putting it all together! Did I miss any movies on my list? What are your favorite Halloween movies? Like I said before this is going to be the first of a week’s worth of Halloween posts leading up to the 31st! I’m putting a lot of work into these posts and I hope you enjoy them all! With that being said I will see you tomorrow for another Halloween blog post!

Stay spooky!

Halloween Haul 2017

Happy Sunday/Monday and welcome to another blog post! The best month of the year is finally upon us so that means that all the stores finally have their Halloween stuff out! Actually when I went to Michaels even though it is the BEGINNING of October all of the Halloween stuff was on clearance to make room for Christmas stuff! I shouldn’t really be complaining because I was able to get a bunch of awesome stuff at a great price but come on Christmas stuff already?! We just started celebrating the month of Halloween! Oh well, let’s just get right into it! Here is my Halloween Haul 2017!

Note: I wanted to try something new with the blog so when I normally on a haul post put in a big header the store I got the items instead I put it into each of the photos!

Skull and Flower Container

The first item I got was this awesome “glass” container. Inside there is a black skull and these beautiful blood red flowers that caught my eye enough to buy this. This goes great with the red background for future Halloween blog posts.

Table Runner

Another great item for my Halloween background is this Table Runner I found from Target. I love the fact that it looks torn and that the edges aren’t perfectly cut. Makes it look more worn and creepy.

Book of Spells

Next is this decorative Book of Spells. I love this because it goes perfectly with my Halloween background. On the front, it has the words “Book of Spells” and has a skeleton with a creepy smile on it. For being hollow on the inside it is very heavy!

Stack of Books

To go with the Book of Spells I also got a stack of books that I’m going to set on top of it. On the side it says “Curses” on the top book, “Spells” on the middle, and “Potions” on the bottom book. That is the one thing I wish the “Book of Spells” is that it was on the binding like these ones so all the books would blend together. On the top of the top book there is a skull and on the side of the books is this big spider.

Black Wings

Out of everything I got this item would be my favorite. It is a bowl like a container but is shaped like angel wings. The texture on it makes it look like real feathers but it definitely isn’t the same weight as wings of course. I’ve always loved angel wings since I was younger and I plan on using it even after Halloween because I love it so much! I can put my keys in it or little things like that.

Clear Skull Container

Another item is this clear skull container from Michaels. I got two of these containers but I can’t tell you what I have planned for these skull containers because I have a fun Halloween post planned for these so stay tuned for that!

Skull Cups

So because Michael’s had all of their Halloween stuff on clearance I got a little carried away with certain items, this is the aftermath of it. I found these glass skull cups and I originally was just going to get the clear one but I saw that there was a purple one and a green and blue one and I just thought “Oh I can get one of each cause they’re on clearance!”, so that’s what I did. I don’t know when I’m going to use all of them (they are glass) but hey they look cool!

Led Bat

The last item was completely going overboard but I couldn’t help but feel that I needed it. This is a led light that is in the shape of a bat! I love bats and even though I have nowhere to put it in my office I needed to have it. So we shall see if it actually goes up. Do I regret buying it? No, I do not!

Conclusion

So that’s all the items! I hope you guys enjoyed this Halloween Haul! Is your house or room all decorated for Halloween? What is your favorite decoration? Let me know what it is as well as ideas for other Halloween posts! I hope you guys are having a wonderful start to the month of Halloween and I will see you all in the next post!

My Spring/Summer Purse//What’s In My Bag??

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday and welcome to another blog post! I’ve wanted to do this post for a while and since we are in the beginning of summer (it’s already so hot here already) I thought it would be a great time to let you know what’s in my Spring/Summer Purse! Now I will be honest, a bunch of stuff in my purse you have already seen in other blog posts, but hey I love these items so much! So let’s get right into!

The Purse

First let’s talk about the purse. The purse is a mini backpack from Forever 21. The reason why I wanted a mini backpack this time around is because the cross body purse I was using before was starting to hurt my shoulder from the weight of carrying all the stuff on one shoulder. So I thought “Why don’t I just even out the pain from just one shoulder to both shoulders?!”. I knew what I was looking for, I wanted to shy away from the usual black or grey purses I normally get and get a pastel pink mini backpack. When I went in to my nearest Forever 21 they had the style of mini backpacks I wanted but not in pastel pink. So I ordered it online and in a few days top it was in my hands. I was nervous since I was ordering it online that it wouldn’t fit all my stuff but I am happy and relieved to say that it all fit! I love how it is very lightweight (even with all my stuff in it) and it is perfect for carrying a lot or a little during the spring and summertime. I’ve had it for about 2 months now and it is still in good shape, so I hope it lasts a while!

The Pin that Started it All

I knew that I wanted a new purse right when I started to get really sick of feeling pain in my shoulder, but I didn’t know what purse I wanted. Then I was shopping at Hot Topic and I found this Sailor Moon Transformation Brooch pin and I knew right then and there that I needed a pastel pink mini backpack to put this pin on. Now I did have a hard time getting this pin on (with the fake leather and loose pin back) to the point that I almost gave up on it, but I’m glad that I didn’t because it turned out so well! I always get compliments on it and asked if it is a sailor moon purse (like if the pin came with the purse) but nope… I put it together myself and I am so proud of it!

Sailor Moon Keychain

Since I was going with a Sailor Moon themed purse I wanted a keychain that would go with it so when I found the brand Sugarbones on Instagram I knew they would be perfect. Sugarbones is an artist/designer based in Canada who creates pins, patches and art prints of things that supports girl power, fighting crime and the forces of evil while looking completely kawaii :)… and Sailor Moon is one of those things. You will definately see more of Sugar Bone on my website/social media, I love what she does and I can’t wait to see what else she creates! She recently designed two Sailor Moon inspired keychain souvenirs, one from Crystal Tokyo (which is a beautiful pastel blue with pastel pink roses around it) or the Negaverse (aka Dark Kingdom) that is a beautiful purplish maroonish color with red roses around it. I was originally going to get the Crystal Tokyo keychain because of the matching pastel colors, but the dark/black loving half of me has always connected with the Dark Kingdom, so I chose that one. With this keychain dangling, if you can’t find me, just listen for a jingle from this keychain and you’ll find me!

Car Keys… aka more Sailor Moon Keychains

First let’s start with what is in my front little pocket. Now you don’t need to see my car keys because you know what car keys look like, but you haven’t seen the keychains that are on them! Now I had these keychains long before I had the idea for the Sailor Moon mini backpack but it’s kind of cool how it all turned out like it.

The first two has an old keychain and a new keychain. The Luna cupcake is from a dear friend who saw it while shopping and thought of me, which was so sweet of her, so thank you Tina! The bow with the little moon stick is pretty new, I found it at Barnes and Noble when I was shopping with one of my dear friends.

The last two are my two favorite keychains (not saying I don’t love the other two). The moon stick is my oldest keychain (as you can tell with how dirty and old it is), it is actually one of the first ever sailor moon items I’ve ever had. The other keychain is from of my bestest friends ever. Last year around this time her and her family went to the zoo in which even though I was invited I couldn’t go. So she surprised me with this keychain with an adorable elephant on it! Now that I have become a shift supervisor and don’t work at the same store anymore I cherish the keychain even more. Sailor Moon keychains may come and go but I will always keep and cherish this item of friendship.

Cosmic Heart Compact Mirror

If you haven’t noticed yet, but I love shopping at Hot Topic. They have a bunch of great anime items, band tees, and some unexpected great finds, this item is one of those great finds. I have been meaning to try to find a compact mirror because I am sick of pulling out my phone camera when reapplying lipstick. It just so happened that it was a Sailor Moon one that I found! And before anyone asks, unfortunately no the heart on the inside doesn’t do anything when you push it. Believe me I’ve tried, millions of times.

Chapstick and Lipstick of Choice

I also carry around my favorite chapstick and the lipstick I wore the day before. My go to chapstick is “Nivea Smoothness Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Sunscreen Lip Care”. It is getting hotter by the day and the last thing I want is to have sun burnt lips (especially when I wear liquid matte lipstick quite often) so this chapstick keeps my lips feeling moisturized and protected from the sun. The lipstick is “LimeCrime Bloodmoon Liquid Matte Velvetine”. This is currently my favorite color. It gives me a dark red matte lip that makes my outfit from normal to dark and sexy.

Now back to more things you haven’t seen yet!

Totoro Wallet

Recently my sister, mom and I went to the CelebrAsian festival downtown to celebrate everything in the Asian culture! Not only was it fun cause I got to have some well needed family time but I got to eat some delicious Filipino food (my mom’s side of the family is Filipino) and check out all things Asian! While we were there I got a really cute Totoro makeup bag and this adorable Totoro wallet! The colors go well with the pastel theme I have going on with my purse, and even though you can’t see it there’s a cute dangly tossle on the side of it. Plus since it folds, it fits so much easier than the big wallet I was using before.

Flamingo Notebook

I found this great notebook at World Market. I got this back in January just in time for the start of my new promotion, so it was great timing on my part. All I use it is for work but I really don’t know what I would do without it. Just having it and writing the list of things I have to do helps me get through the shift.

Glasses Cleaner Kit

Another thing I cannot live without is this glasses cleaner kit from Target. In the kit it comes with a cleaning spray, cleaning cloth and pre-moistened cloths. I love this kit because it is small enough to be on the go but does the job perfectly. My friends who doesn’t wear glasses always tease me when I pull it out of my purse, but the friends who do have glasses always ask me to clean their glasses as well.

Portable Charger

Another strange but useful item I keep in my purse is a portable charger I got from Target. I originally got it for the little day trips I have been having with my family and friends (going to be useful for a small weekend trip I’m planning this summer) but with the shortage of charging cords in my apartment, I’ve been gravitating towards using this more. Plus it’s rose gold so it goes perfect with pretty much everything I have!

Cinnamon Gum

The last but not least is just a pack of gum to hide my coffee breath. There’s not much more to say than that ha.

Conclusion

So that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this “What’s in My Bag?” post. What weird but useful things do you have in your purse? If you have any ideas for a blog post, as always you can comment down below! I also linked somewhere in this post another blog post talking about my pastel pink collection so if you haven’t read that one yet, there’s that link there! My Pink Hair Experience//L’Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Dye Review

Happy Sunday and welcome to another blog post! Recently one of my favorite youtubers Leighannsays dyed her hair rose gold and after watching her video I got inspired! I’ve always wanted to dye my hair pink but was always scared to because yes even though my job does allow unnatural hair color in our dress code, but with my position as a shift supervisor I was nervous to do it. But in her video, Leighann said that the dye is semi permanent and washed out in 3 washes so I thought why not? See what it would be like to have pink hair! So without further ado, let’s get into my experience with pink hair!

The Hair Dye

The hair dye that Leighann and I used was the Colorista Semi Permanent Hair Dye. I really like what Leighann did so just like in the video I used a mix of two colors, pink and soft pink. Leighann had two bottles of each hair dyes because she was covering her whole head and she was scared that she would run out, but since I was only coloring the blonde parts in my hair (which is the bottom tips of my hair) I only got one of each bottle. In the end I ended up only using a little more than half of the bottles so I had left-over hair dye to use in case I wanted to retouch it up (spoiler alert, I retouched it up). What made me want to use this hair dye (other than the fact that Leighann used it tehe) is the fact that it is semi- permanent. According to the box the color is supposed to last 4 to 8 washes and since I wash my hair about once a week I expected it to last a little bit. I bought my hair dye at Target, and it was about 10 dollars for each box so it wasn’t expensive at all.

My Experience

(thats my sister with me :D)

When I opened the box I was surprised to see that the hair dye was in a squeeze bottle. Usually hair dyes come in three separate parts where you have to add one part to another and have this weird small tip that took a bit to get any product out, but this was very easy to use as well as time saving. Another thing I really liked was not only did it have a brush, but it came with a million of gloves! In a hair dye pack you only get one pair of gloves which is great, but really inconvenient when you accidently rip a glove or you have to take it off for some reason. So having multiple gloves was really nice, especially since I retouched up the pink later on.

My bottom tips were pretty blonde so the finishing color was very pink which I liked (first photo). The bright pink lasted until I washed my hair for the first time which then it turned from an in your face pink to a more rose gold kind of pink that I really liked. Even though I really liked the rose gold color that the pink faded into, It already started to fade fast after one wash and like I said earlier, I still had left-over dye, so I retouched it up and was back to the bright pink. Since I was dying the pink on top of an already pink tinted hair it was a more bright pink and after one wash it turned into a more beautiful rose gold color so I do recommend that if you have left-over product, I would retouch it up.

I have washed my hair three times since I retouched the color (third photo) and I feel that it is really faded. I can see a lot more blonde in my hair coming up again and the color isn’t as bright or as pretty as it used to be. It is also patchy as well which could easily be my fault more than the product’s from applying it to my hair. I feel like in the next two products my hair will be back to being blonde and the pink will be completely gone.

Finishing Thoughts and Would I recommend?

All together I would say that I have had a good experience with this hair experiment. In the long run I want to have my hair to be more blonde, I feel more confident with my hair being blonde, but in order to do what I want to do with my hair I would have to go to a professional which I can’t afford right now. So until then I thought I would have some fun with it while I can! The only bad thing I would say about it, is that it only lasts for about 4 to 6 washes instead of the 4-8 washes the box said. But hey, that could just be that with my hair, it could last longer for someone else’s hair! I really enjoyed having pink hair, it gave me a confidence like the blonde does, but a different kind of confidence. With all that being said, would I recommend L’Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Dye to friends or family? I would! I love how it gave me a taste of having colored hair like I’ve always wanted and the color is very bright and vibrant, and even pretty when it’s faded too!

There are other colors in the line, and I would like to try other colors, but I also have come attached to the pink color… so I don’t know what to do? What do you guys think? Would you like to see me use the same hair dye brand but a different color, or try a different brand of pink? I would love to try LimeCrime’s Unicorn Hair Dye one day! Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and let me know if you like post like these, as well as ideas for other blog posts! I hope you all have a wonderful week and I will see you all on Tuesday!

XOXO,
Kat
